GroceryRun keeps a running total of your groceries while you shop, so the number at the register is never a surprise.
Tap the button closest to each price as the item goes into your cart: $5, $1, 25¢, or 5¢.
An item priced at $1.49?
Tap $1, 25¢, 25¢. Done.
The goal is a close total, not an exact one. Staying within a few dollars of the register is what keeps a budget honest.
“I put something back on the shelf. How do I take it off my total?”
Flip on Subtraction Mode. Tap the same buttons you tapped when the item went in, and watch the total come back down. Then flip it off and keep shopping.
“How do I start over?”
Tap Clear. You’re back to $0.00 and ready for the next run.
“Hey, wait a second. The app didn’t match my receipt!”
Right! And that’s on purpose. GroceryRun doesn’t know exact prices, and it doesn’t know your tax rate. It knows what you tapped. Most runs land within a few dollars of the register, and a few dollars is close enough to protect a budget.
“Is the app collecting my data?”
No. Nothing gets collected, and nothing gets sent anywhere. The whole policy fits on one page.
